What are your experiences with Zoloft?

Question:
I was taking it recently, but decided with my psychologist to get off it because it seem to be making my complacent, I just didn't feel like doing anything but sleeping. Do you know of a replacement or have you had a better experience with another medication?

Answers:
Zoloft did nothing, Wellbutrin did nothing, Lexapro, Paxil, Remeron and all the rest did nothing, but make me a zombie. If you want to get better, you need to diligently employ some serious cognitive behavior therapy. Your psychologist should know this is the only cure for depression. The pills are band-aids, not a cure. Read my story on how I got off those yucky things:

Other Answers:
Try Wellbutrin...works better, less side effects.
My mood was very even - not really up, not really down. I can tell you that my sex drive went to zero. My doctor switched me to Cymbalta and it has been good. Made me a little tired at first but moods are better with having highs (and lows) but I have been feeling good and the sex drive has definitely improved.
i was taking wellbutrin prior to zoloft, and have found the zoloft to be better than the wellbutrin. however, with zoloft, when i first started it, it was as if i was sedated throughout the day. as mentioned in a privious answer, you're just really stuck on that middle ground. no real high's and no real lows. i'm actually going to talk to my doctor about other possible meds.
Lexapro worked better for me
