What is the difference between CBT and ERP?
Question:
Answers:
CBT: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
It's a type of psychotherapy. Simply put, it is based on the idea that thought processes are what get people in trouble. A CB therapist would also try to introduce new behaviors that are more adaptive to the client's environment in an effort to improve quality of life.
ERP, stands for event related potential, as far as I know. It's how our brains respond to a thought or an idea, or an external event (stimulus). ERPs can be identified by brain scans.
Now, I can't see how these two are different, as they are apples and oranges. Do you want to give me more information? Maybe I can be more helpful.
