Why do people fear death?

i think its either because :

they just love life so much they don't ever want it to end

are just plain afraid of what the pain will be like when they die

are not so sure what is REALLY going to happen after they are gone (question their faith) "am i really going to heaven?"

are afraid they wont live their life to the fullest and will miss out on the great things in life.

I think if you live to be an old age you are pretty much not afraid of death anymore because it took a long time to get where you are, and you are just too damn tired to care anymore. But this is MY opinion.

some people fear death becuase they are not comfortable with what comes afterward, i find that when i think about balance between heaven and earth it all comes together.
