Time management, how can I get enough time to do what I WANT to do?

Question:
Whatever I SHOULD do, I get it done, but I never have time to do what I WANT to do. And I am not happy about this situation.

How can I get enough time to do what I WANT to do?

Answers:
Make a list of things you NEED to do (home work, pay bills), and another of things you WANT to do (go to the movies). Plot out on a calendar when these things have to be done by. If try to do it all in one day, of course you are going to be burnt out. Try to accomplish all the NEEDs, number one priority. For you're WANTS, list them in order of importance, you know, top ten. If you can't do it all, at the end of the day you will have taken care of the NEEDs and feel comfortable. WANTs, well that you will have to work on, best of luck.

Other Answers:
You will make the time for the things you want to make time for.

Obviously there's things you don't want bad enough.
Get Christopher Walkin to give you his remote. Then you can stop time for yourself!
You need to start planning your time in advance. There is a time management anecdote where a person is given a jar, some sand, pebbles and rocks. If you put the sand in first followed by the pebbles then the rocks they won't all fit in. If you put the rocks in first, followed by the pebbles then the sand they fit. You need to start making some of the stuff you WANT to do the big rocks and putting them in first. Don't sweat the small stuff.
You might try doing the things you like to do first? Or take a day and do those things only. You have to MAKE time to do them.
honey, since u do what U SHOULD ,so what's the problem.I know that u need to do what u want ,but believe me none of us does what he wanna .we r all do just what we SHOULD ,but u still can do it! if u use a good time management so search for DARTMOUTH college web they offer a good points about this topic. sometimes u need to take it easy to rest ur mind at least one day a week.I wish u the best of luck .
Just do it. Sometimes you have to put yourself first.
Plan what you want to do and tick them off when they are done. Find something you really want and stick a picture of it on a wall, that way you can always see it.
dunno
suggestion:
set goals: needs wants 3 Mt's 6Th's
KS KS
days days

i believe the more i plan the more i can work my plan. so "plan your work", and "work your
plan" this does take some time, however, it does "pay-off" in the end. you will get your needs and your wants met.
like you, i got my work done, yet i never had planned to play, so i wasn't a happy person. i learned to also plan my play time, and treated it as important as my work-time, because if i didn't take care of myself i would "burn-out" and
be of no use to anyone. so i learned to treat my time as vital as my scheduled appointments at work. ahhhhhhhhhh it is great, hard to do at first yet great.
for me long and short term goals seem to work. i break mine up into years, month, weeks and days. they go as far as hours of the day and days of the week. as are numbered according to priority of importance to my goals. ( i am a single-mom or 2 teens, i have my own business, and attempt to have my own life. (lol) ) this isn't perfect, yet if does help
get things done, and i get to do what i want also. good luck
decide your priorities, set them in order, start writing you diary, scrutinise you performance, evaluate your output.
now fistly, earning enough income to take of all your needs, should be the first priority, if you are not in school or some thing!
secondly, give it a serious thought, what are you really good at? one classic writer has written a story about a young gentleman, who insisted on pursuing playin piano, and ended up not being upto the mark, so eventually heartbroken, took his own life!
so the moral of the story is, first evaluate you own talents, ask experts, then only opt for that.
thirdly, keep definate time for hygiene, gardening, cooking, cleaning, all these activities help in feeling good, and not like mavericks, who are covered with filth, surrounded by smoke, and left-over hotel food! that's not a waste of time, but an integral part of our lives, to maintain ourselves, and be pleasant!
in your diary, short-list every day the things you want to do over the week, on that day, etc. and before going to bed, tickmark you accomplisments. this would help you to keep a check. deciding perfectly, and follow-up with actions, will surely give you the results!

wanting to do so many things, is not bad. but we have to be reasonable. i wanted to be a writer from the beginning, so i made a note-book, and went on writing down my ideas, observations, which helped me to learn the importance of always doing something at that moment, than forgetting and repenting afterwards!
