You need to go to the Doctor for a diagnosis, not a website. But I say, it sounds like you ae Bipolar.
I have bi-polar disorder and that dosent sound like it to me...it isnt depression at all its more of just mood swings and things like that..oh and why dont you just let your dad buy that ticket that may be part of ur problem...good luck
Okay. My son's bipolar stage 3. He cycles often. No long manic periods or long highs. He can be great for two days and down the next three. Or great for half a day and miserable the rest of the day. What does your doctor say? You have gone to one, haven't you?
youqa.coms is not the best place for a mental health analysis. If you really want to know if you're bipolar, see a therapist.
You should see one anyway, whether you're depressed or bipolar. It's the only way you can really feel better.
Well, it would seem to me that you really WANT it to be BPD, because that's the way your questions lean.
It could just be a mildly schizophrenic syndrome or something, but how should we know? Most of us aren't doctors and probably NONE of us are psychiatrists. If you feel you have a mental illness, then you need to see a mental health professional. The best place to start would be with your family doctor or your County Mental Health Services Advocate.
Good luck.
I dont think you have bipolar disorder. I think you are manic depressant. go to the doctor and tell him your problems and mention abilify (for bi-polar disorder) it will help to curb the irrational thoughts. and mention lexipro. it has done wonders for my wife. its worth a try. best of luck to you with this horrible condition. hang in there, things will not always be like this, but you need to get some help to get you out of this rut.
I hope not for your sake, My biological mom is bi-polar and she is in and out of mental wards all the time and they are always jacking her meds around. She is either all the way up or all the way down and the main emotion when they are down is total destructive ANGER. So say a prayer and hope to GOD you are not bi-polar! Can't you get some help?? You need to go to a shrink and get tested.Good Luck!!
If you are bipolar then you are the most rapidly cycling person in history! Usually a mood swing takes days, or even weeks! Also, you mention nothing about the mania half of Emtional Intensity Disorder (the new and perfered name for the disorder). When people hit their manic phase they are commited to the hospital for being psychotic. Have you had psychotic episodes?
If you are truly worried about having the disease, go see a psychologist.
Look sweetie am not and doctor to tell you if you are or not.I do have info that you can call people they can help you.Ask your dad if you don't mind to take me to a doctor.I would like to go.The people I go to they are so sweet.Try it see if you like it.You don't have to go back.
Bipolar disorder is not something that you can diagnose by yourself. There are many conditions that mimic bipolar disorder that are curable (as bipolar is treatable, not curable.) You should talk to someone you trust and try to find a free or sliding scale payment psychiatrist or counselor. It is dangerous to not treat mental diseases, and they are very difficult to diagnose. This site is not the place to seek a diagnosis, as even a truly skilled doctor cannot diagnose you over the Internet. Please see someone in person and try to get some help. Only after you get help can you begin to piece your life back together.
You already have gotten some really good answers. You need to go first thing tomarrow and talk to an adult that you can trust, either counselor or teacher at school or a realtive, or a friends mom or dad. You are brave enough to get on here and ask complete strangers for help, you will be brave enough to ask someone you trust for help. I know you can!
Pleasssssssssse get some help!! You do not have to stay in that situation just because they are you parents!
without a complete medical history not even a doctor could diagnose bipolar disorder. does this run in your family. It is possible that you may have some form of this illness or a different mental illness. The important thing is not to diagnose yourself but get get treatment and counseling for whatever you are suffering from. if you can't get to an appontment with a mental health professional go to someone you can trust, such as a school couselor, relative or a friend's parent and see if they can help get you the help and answers that you need.
If you are not experiencing mania, you are not Bipolar. But if you really want to find out, there is an online test you can take here: http://www.healthyplace.com/communities/depression/nimh/bipolar_screening_test.asp
What you are describing sounds to me like depression only. You DO realize that people who suffer from depression aren't depressed ALL the time, don't you? Anyways, here's a test for Depression, too: http://www.healthyplace.com/communities/depression/nimh/depression_screening_test.asp
Lots of good people suffer from depression, and there are all kinds of ways to treat it and alleviate the symptoms. Feel free to email me personally if you need any more info.
The depression part of bipolar is called major depression and it has to at some time last two weeks or more. There is also dysthymia which is a chronic low grade depression. To be bipolar, one has to have not only depression, but manic or hypo manic episodes.
There is a lot you don't tell. Age, use of alcohol and other drugs, life circumstances, physical health.
Sounds like you are moody, but this could be from lots of things. Bipolar is the most popular psychiatric diagnosis these days, and lots of people who don't have it are diagnosed with it!! You most probably are not bipolar. You have emotional difficulties from growing up in a chaotic home. Get counseling, go to Ala-Teen or Adult Children of Alcoholics depending on your age. You can overcome this without taking on a major psychiatric diagnosis!!
No, but it does however sound like you may be suffering from Munchausen disorder. A lot of people don't know about it but it's just as serious. It is an attention seeking disorder where a person finds ways to make themself appear sick. This will often result in the person actually "feeling" sick whether it be mentally or physically. Either way, it's a mental disorder and you've got it.
