Can anyone help me with the depression from interferon/riberviron treatments for hep-C?

Question:
I am at 3 months into my treatment and am virus free at this point, yet I still have daily depression. How do you deal with it?

Just Me JT.

Answers:
My aunt had this happen too, depression and fatigue, they did stop the treatments because of this because, like you, she was in remission, and showed no signs of the virus. She has switched to a low gluten diet, lots of water, and exercise, and is feeling great, and it's been 3 years in remission. Good luck to you.

You poor baby. First of all, I'm sorry. Stay strong through those "treatments", which I really would be weary about. I was suicidally depressed for quite awhile, not due to an illness-just because I had a seratonin imbalance. I was on zoloft for 4 months and that helped "pull" me out. Then I went through some really good counseling, and leaned on some very very good friends. I do mean I LEANED on them. I didn't hold anything back, it was time to just let it all hang out. Then, you must clean all of those "toxins" out of your body. Even stress and depression is stored in your body in the form of toxins. Do a colon cleanse, liver cleanse, and most importantly... a CANDIDA CLEANSE! Those things are terribly important in changing the way your body behaves and feels! It sounds like mumbo-jumbo, but it worked for me! You can get cleanses in capsule form, at a supplement/vitamin store. You don't have to have anything literally put in your butt for a colon cleanse, don't worry...

Good luck to you. Stay strong.
I don't know about the hep-c treatments. But I do suffer from depression myself. Can't the doctors give you antidepressants? I take two different kinds and they really help.
My husband has hep-c and hasn't had the treatments, he is not sure that he wants them at this point. I wish he would go ahead and get them, but.
I wish you the best of luck and hope you feel better soon.
Hi

My husband went through the same treatment for HEP C. His doctor prescribed Prozac for the duration of his treatment. The antidepressent helped him greatly. It took about 6 to 8 week to get the full effect so talk to your doctor its a common problem with interferon/riberviron. Good Luck :)
