I have figured out a no fail thing that works for me every night...I make my breathing slower (like it is when you're sleeping), get myself in a calm, peaceful state of mind (I refuse to think of things I have to do, work, etc.), and with every breath I inhale and exhale I count. I've recently heard that this is actually a widely used method. Sweet dreams!
Melatonin, they sell it as a supplement at health food stores.
