Is Anyone else bipolar?

I would really like some too talk to about this disorder. noone around me completely understand. They try but they don't. I would just like to beable to talk someone about it who understand what it is like to have your moods changs so much, so fast, the racing thoughts, and know i will always be on meds. you get the point.

I am diagnosed bipolar and have been medicated through a psychiatrist for over 6 years. I know where you are, I have been there before. It is the most paralyzing feeling really. Have you recently been diagnosed? I know when I was first diagnosed (after it being wrongly diagnosed as depression, BIG problem) I was a little freaked out. I'm not bipolar but i know what's it about and it's hard to live with this disease and i also think it's important that your family is supportive and tries to understand. I have a daughter who was diagnosed with bipolar and it sometimes is hard for me to understand her moods but you need to find a group that you can attend and talk face to face with others who share the same day to day disorders as you do. I tryined talking in chat rooms on computer with others and I found that it is not a good idea because all you get is smart a** answers and advice that is no good. Good Luck

i get it and yea im bipolar.its not as bad as you would think.yea your friends may not understand but my girls try atleast and bare with the moods thta i get in time and time again

Hey sweetie. I am Bipolar and my co-worker is too. She and I are now very close. I was diagnosed in Jan '06 and she had already been on meds for 3 yrs. She was very comforting and hopefully I could be of the same help to you. How old are you? I read that in your early 20's is when you are easiest to most accurately be diagnosed. I am (in Aug) 24. Are you on any meds? If so, what? If not, why not?
