Should people with no medical or clergy or counselling experience be answering questions about serious problem

Question:
s? You see a lot of bad answers from folks on some pretty serious issues. Do you think people should be answering questions which they are not qualified to answer?

Answers:
NO. Some people may take a mistaken opinion too seriously, that`s dangerous. I always give the same answer: see a doctor, trust the doctors`diagnosis. In this site, we can only write about our personal experience, but every case is different and should ONLY be dealt with by professionals.

Other Answers:
well this isnt webmd, when you are asking a medical question on here you have to know that the answers you are getting are opionions not a diagnosis
Freedom of speech... Freedom of choice! If someone is stupid enough to ask a serious question in this venue, concerning physical or psychological problems in lieu of seeking professional advice, they get exactly the help they ask for and deserve!
i HOPE no one is taking the answers given here seriously. then they really need some serious councelling.
If they are serious questions about serious medical, psychological or legal matters, they really shouldn't be asking them here. The likelihood that there are clergy, attorneys, doctors being on line scanning through "Answers" is pretty slim. People will always try to get "free" advice regardless of the quality of that advice.
They know going into posting the questions they are likely to get off the wall answers. I hope they know better than to take the advice, but then again.................
Some people will know more about a serious problem through personal experience. This may be stuff that medical professionals never learn or understand from years of education.
I think that it has something to do with wherewithal. It might be apparent to you to see a doctor instead of using youqa.coms to solve your problem--but to some that is their start at a solution. As for answers you select the best answer and that one gets ten points not one hundred dollars.
well if you want the advice of a doctor go see one .
but a doc cant tell you squat about personal exp. alot of the people here can offer the voice of experience , ie. reactions to meds personal suport and many other things profesionals just talk out their @ss about
