What is Passive agressiveness?
Question:
Answers:
My definition is when someone wants something but doesn't directly ask for it, just passively may say something like " I wonder how I can go on vacation and leave my cats", the person they are talking to is then forced to say, "I can feed them for you", it almost puts them in a situation they don't want to be in, but are unconciously forced into by the passive aggressiveperson. This was on the internet
"Someone who is passive-aggressive will typically not confront others directly about problems, but instead will attempt to undermine their confidence or their success through comments and actions which, if challenged, can be explained away innocently so as not to place blame on the passive-aggressive person."
Other Answers:
Look angry like you are going to hit someone but don't actually do.
It's an oxymoron.
Two contradictory statements put together.
Like the "minimum most", "highest low point" and "happy sorrow".
Cheers.

instead of showing your anger you do nothing - by doing nothing it infuriates your spouse and then they get more angry so by not doing anything or responding you can manipulate people into a frenzy
I was told I was Passive-aggressive when I answered some chicks ridiculous question. She later removed her question. I hope my comments had nothing to do with that. ha ha.
Anyway, to me being Passive-aggressive is to insult someone in such a way that it seems innocent and can be explained so as not to make you look guilty if they get their feelings hurt.
You can also be passive aggressive in a situation like you hate having to choose a place to eat and your date never seems to give a crap so you drive around town on purpose and never end up eating anyplace because you are mad. If confronted you can just explain it as innocently being lost or not knowing where to eat, but in reality you were trying to make the person suffer because they couldn't make up their mind.
Anyway. it isn't usually a positive thing.
