I think you've had some good answers. Stress is caused when we feel out of control or are living up to someone else's expectations. Work from there.
I must protest at the people who recommend cannabis. THIS WOULD BE THE WORSE THING YOU COULD DO!
Cannabis causes stress, psychosis, paranoia, delusions, anxiety etc etc. Added to which, it can bring on schizophrenia if you are genetically biased. (A cannabis user is three times more likely to develop schizophrenia than a non-user)
In my experience, 98% of long term hospitalised mental health patients in the UK have been regular cannabis users.

if your stressed out yoga and buddism doesnt work because they remove you from the problem. Face the problem. Do things you like, take a break from whatever it is and hand out with friends or family. Go get a massage, take a bubble bath, do some art, or smash some plates. Works for me:)
well i have to say the first guy is kinda right- well at least some kind of sex ;) but apart from that try herbal remedies and going outside every now and then and screaming- helps me every time (except when th neighbours call the police :)

I recommend massage. That will work.
Excercise. When I get really stressed, I make myself run a lot. It wears out my body to the point where the stress just kind of leaks out.
Also, I cry. I tend to bottle up my emotions a lot... hence my stress. When it gets too bad, I just go to a private place and let it all out.
You could also go to a therapist if nothing works for you. I know several people who need counseling because of stress related issues. You'd have to get a good counselor to actually get something good out of it...
But anything is worth a shot if it will help you in the long run =)
anger management classes help and smoking, but that'll kill you, so just make a choice and learn to relax.
Go back to the buddhism, if you`re still stressed you kind of missed the point. Vegetarian diet helps too.

find out what is stressing you out and try to find a way to eliminate it. Otherwise, i agree with the others. Sex is actually a stress reliever. So is good ol' fashioned excersice. When I am stressed out, I go for a walk or run and it seems to help a lot.
get a hold on what it is that is causing you stress, and start working on sorting it out , would be a good move for making sure theres a light at the end of the tunnel, or that things will get better,....... short term help..there are many natural remedys you could try from your herbalist, but going to see your doctor woud be the best way to start the ball rolling...

It all depends on what kind of stress. How old are you -teen stress can lead to severe depression and usually self harm Teen stress can remain gastrical, you cant have the foods your freinds eat. So you have to change your diet, maybe temporarily and maybe not but it is mostly fried foods. Deal with your stress by pin pointing what causes this stress. This will work for adult stress as well.
Try to pin point your stress makers, some things just piss us off but some things we get so passionate about we lose it, unfortunately once you blow everything is suddenly wrong.
remove yourself from the situation that is causing the stress. There is more pride in standing up ina business meeting and saying excuse me for a moment and walk out. Take a moment, if someone comes after you just be upfront, I didnt like the conversation or I didnt like the movie whatever Walk away from what stresses you. If its someone you love, loving them but being apart is healthier for you. Thats all that counts
