My son takes meds for anxiety and depression. I know quite a bit about them. EM me if you want to.

Other Answers:
be more specific, are you overweight? if so, go to a doctor and ask them about a weight loss program. my daughter takes a med for depression, she eats normal and she's of a normal weight.
Talk to your doctor. Sometimes you have to try several different kinds before you find the right one.
Go see a doctor. Ask him to check your thyroid hormone data. Sometimes a subfunction of the thyroid can lead to gaining weight without eating too much, depression, and fatigue.
If everything's fine with your thyroid - the doctor will have to look for other possible physical reasons for your gaining weight and feeling depressed. If there are none you should attend a capable psychologist/psychiatrist - one who does not think that medication is everything you need (though it often helps - most people need more attendance). You might try behaviour therapy or psychoanalysis - whatever you think will suit you. Don't
give up! Someone will be able to help!
I take 4 highly potent and high doses of medications for anxiety and depression, among other mental illnesses.I gained 130 pounds.I keep talking to my psychiatrist about the added depression. But he seems unconcerned.I also eat very very little and can't seem to lose a pound.I even go to the YMCA to exercise.
I believe medication has its place, but it is best to go without if you can 'cos of side-effects. Can you get counselling then come off the drugs in the long-term under the guidance of your doctor, as you no longer need them. There will be a reason why you are anxious, counselling will help you to find it.
