Get Jigsaw puzzles, it will distract their minds on something else. Nothing cheers you up at first you just want to be left alone but you also want to b cared about. Something quiet yet distracts your whole state of mind on to something else.

If I can find something to do that helps someone, that usually makes me feel good, even if they don't know. Of course it's nice if they do know and appreciate what you've done.
Plato said depression is caused by not living right. Seeing as there are so many people who are depressed nowadays, it seems as though a lot of us aren't living right. Not surprising when you look at the way we're all being manipulated by commercial interests to want more and more "stuff" and to be more and more critical of each other. Co-operation is more satifying than competition!
Somebody to talk to also helps (and listening to music and having a good cry!)
today as i was left alone i felt so low i then went to the chapel and told all my sorrows to god this made me so happy that everyone were surprised to see me laughing alone.but i really feel there is someone who understands me .u just make a good friend.

Icecream! Lots, and lots of icecream! Bryers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream with heaping amounts of Hersheys chocolate syrup drenched all over it. Luckily I had not felt low in several months so I do not weigh 400 pounds. But if I did, I would eat icecream.
i call people who are supportive to me. they keep me going, it helps a lot.
