Panic Attacks?
Question:
Answers:
Don't panic, attack. Attack the panic attacks with knowledge, therapy and medication. It's relatively common, and relatively easy to control (i.e., unlike paranoid schizophrenia, etc)
Other Answers:
don't ignore panic attacks. doing that just makes them worse. see someone like a therapist and they will help you figure out what is triggering them.
I'd suggest seeing a psychologist. There's also a good book you can pick up at your library "From Panic To Power" by Lucinda Bassett. Blessings.
I'd tell your parents you'd like to talk to someone about it,because it's becoming troublesome. No sleep IS a big deal. Things that help me are like, relaxation cds, water, the ocean,a thunderstorm, anything that makes you think of that, and not the other. Try some herbal tea,hot milk, anything that will help you to sleep, good luck, this is no laughing matter
go see a doctor, i did 15 years ago and im much better for going.
My wife conquered her panic attacks through faith and asking the Lord to help. It was not as easy as medicine, and it took a good year. Nevertheless, thanks to the Lord, she is symptom free.
I, too, have panic attacks. I rely on the Lord, too. I do not mean just in some feel-good way, through faith He truly takes the burden either away, or too a manageable condition.
Aside from that I try to keep my focus off myself.or I convince myself that to get through an attack will strengthen me.kinda like de-sensitivation.
Overall, I avoid the use of drugs.they may help.but are addictive, and have side effects. Our faith and our brains are far more powerful than we give them credit.even in overcoming what some may say is a chemical imbalance.
Perhaps, too, getting a healthy perspective of "who cares what happens" is beneficial. Sometimes, we panic at what others may think.and the panic and thoughts tend to endlessly spiral out of control. Pinching yourself.correcting yourself.and a little bit of "Who cares.let's get back on the task at hand" goes along way.
All in all, however, giving it all to the Lord in faith who lifts me up in both good and bad times, is the most effective and best recipe for success.
Dont be afraid Life its beautiful , you wont enjoy life if you afraid of it , there is too many nice things in this life if you cannot overcome it alone look for a Dr asisstance. Goo Luck !
You should try talking to your parents again. If they still do nothing, talk to someone else--a grandparent, teacher, counselor, adult friend. If you're older, call your doctor yourself. This is definitely something your doctor should know about.
In the meantime, start keeping a journal of your feelings. That way you can show your doctor and/or parents later. You're right---it may come down to medication and therapy sessions, but give it time, and it should help you.
Best of luck to you! ☺
