If you are on CPA Enhanced can you get off CPA?

If you are having an enhanced care programme approach it sounds as if you have a pretty serious mental illness and need support to remain in the community. You can disengage with mental health services at any time, however they have a "Duty of Care" and if it is believed that you are a risk to yourself or others they can Section you. As you are known to mental health services it is likely to be a section 3 which can last up to 6 months. Believe me you don't want this. I have just come out of hospital after being sectioned and it was a devastating experience for me and my children.
Most places should have a crisis team you can talk to when things get too much. Why not sit down with your care-coordinator and ask for the support you need. If you feel in a crisis Sane Line offer really good support 0845 767 800, as do the Samaritans. MIND also has many useful booklets on different Mental Health Conditions which you can purchase over the internet.
If you are constantly in crisis have you been diagnosed with BPD? If you live in the UK why not join Borderlines Annonymous and get support from other sufferers. Please try to work with mental health professionals, it may not seem like it but they have your interests at heart.
PS if you find it difficult to say what you want, contact an independent Mental Health advocate. Your Mental Health Service will have the telephone number of your local service. You can ask the advocate to accompany you to CPA meetingsand help you to express your needs.
Good Luck
