Can I have someone tested to see if they are being poisoned, even if they don't want to?

"poisoning doesn't happen as much as it has in the past"? What a joke.
Most poisons/toxins leave some chemical markers behind. Hair is a great 'recorder' of these chemicals. If she won't go for testing or no one will listen to you and you need it to at least ease your mind.you can send her hair to be analyzed. You do need a certain amount and it needs to be cut as close to the scalp as possible. You'll just have to figure out a way to get it from her. Sleeping?
Search for hair analysis on the web to learn more and find some one to do the testing. They will be able to tell you what chemicals are found - but realize, not where they came from - and can also give you a timeline of when the chemicals were absorbed or ingested. So if arsenic started showing up when he showed up..there might be something fishy going on.
good luck and I hope for the best!

What kind of books are you reading ?
You should definately get her checked out!! Someones life is at stake!! :(
If you definitely suspect something going on, when you are with her alone, you should really try to talk to her and convince her to go to the doctors to get checked out immediately. If she still doesn't.. I would then maybe say you should go to a police station and run it through them. see if they could do anything about it.
I would also suggest looking up maybe possible poisons, because if the doctors don't know what they are looking for, they may not test for it.
Additionally, if you know her doctor, and even if she doesn't herself think she is being poisoned, you can talk to the doctor, and see if he/she might look for that the next time your mother-in law goes to the doctors because of her sickness.
Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you. besides that this does sound like its something coming from a book. Poisoning doesn't really happen as much today as it used to in the past.
Call the police. call her doctor!
If they willn't do anything, call you states medical board!! Tell them whats up and what you think is going on! They will force the doctors to check more extensively into her health problems!
