Is it possible for someone to be sure of their sexual identity after being unsure for a long time?

Question:

Answers:
yes, that is the nature of identity. Identity is usually not discovered but is created. That's right, even sexual identity. Most people think there is some identity out there that exists independent of us, but it is actually being molded and created everyday, including sexual identity. It seems like it is impossible that your identity could be any different than it is at the time, but that is just an illusion. We usually solidify our identities by surrounding ourselves with those people who make us feel most comfortable at the time. This creates the illusion that we have the correct identity, when in reality there is no correct identity. If you don't believe me, then try changing your clothing and style, and try doing things outside your comfort zone and if you do these things enough you will start changing who you are and even include more different people into your circle or changing your circle of friends, but all the while your identity will be changing and you will believe that it is who you are supposed to be. i am being a little more general than sexual identity, but believe it or not for many people it holds true for sexual identity too.

Yes. I think as you get older you become sure of a lot of things that you were uncertain of.

yes even though you was unsure for quit sometime you will eventually make your mind on on what you prefer out of life . if you have chosen what you would like to be then be that way and be proud you know what you want

yes.
Yes, I am sure that eventually a person who might have been confused or unsure with experience will become certain of their sexual identity.
Yes, of course!
Sure.as long as you realize that at some point in the future you might become unsure again. Don't worry about it, everyone entertains thoughts (no matter how briefly) about their sexual identity.
yes if it is you, no if someone else
OMG just look at porn and see which one u like better nude.. or which one gives u a better hard on then u know.
take off your clothes, look down, in almost every case the question of sexual identity will be clear and obvious

now, the question of how your urges and libido operate and will operate in the future is a different and more mystical question

the question of how you intend to respond and discipline your urges and libido is the most important question, and the only one you have control of
Yes..you are in control of your own destiny. So if you weren't sure, now you are then it was just a thought. Don't listen to T.V. They say once your gay, your always gay. That's not true. If you don't want to be a certain way, you don't have to. Don't take advice from this entertainers. They are so out of touch with reality it's terrible. Be who you are, no who you are. There are so much advice, but in reality you have to know you!
Anything is possible. You will eventually know for sure what is right for you because that part of you will become clear through the experiences of your life.
Yes.. it can take many years! Eventually, you will know what feels right to you.
Kind of a hard question to answer, but here's a tip that I hope is helpful. When you first wake up, who do you think about first? Men or women? Which do you think about most? Have you had relationships with both? If so, which did you enjoy more?
You are only uncertain until you decide. In this case, you are only uncertain of your sexual orientation until you explore it and determine whether or not you are exploring in the orientation you find gratifying. The answer to this question is up to you. This is why men come out in their upper twenties, thirties, forties, and beyond! The only word of caution I can offer is that you do not declare a sexual orientation you are not certain of, and that you do not dedicate yourself to a relationship with someone while you are still uncertain.
