Another effexor question??????

Question:

Does effexor help with anxiety? I am on 150 mg. and still have bad anxiety. Should I ask to up the dosage and see if that helps or try something differnt? I was on Celexa with no help at all. I don't want to go on something that will cause weight gain. I feel like I am running out of options. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions???????

I have taken many different anti-depressants for 10 years since my mom passed away, lost my job, my dad passed away, alot of tragedy thru the years. I have found Prozac helps me the most. So if one doesn't seem to help after you increase try another. I am on 80mg of Prozac and do well. I except that some day I do plan to decrease but I have well and it has not hurt but helped me. There are options just give the med's at least 6 weeks and try different ones some made me more depressed made me feel worse so I quit trying to change once I felt Prozac was the best. But there are alot. I have tried newer ones and they did the same so I decided why mess with it when it is doing ok.

I am on effexor. I don't believe that it helps with anxiety, cuz my Dr. also gave me something for anxiety.
