Does anyone have experience with the antidepressant called Remeron?

Question:
I'm curious to know how other people are doing on this medication. Is it helping with their depression/anxiety, is it helping at all with thier insomnia, (as it does have a sedating effect). Is anyone finding that they're having any other side effects or symptoms. Any odd dreams, if any. Additionally, how long did it take before you actually started to feel that the medication was actually benifitting you in any significant way?

Answers:
I was on remeron for about two months and I will tell you that I had all kinds of problems with it. Typically it take four to six weeks of therapy on it for it to start to take an effect on you. I didn't get as much of a relief as with the Lexapro that I now take. I had a lot of side effects on Remeron. I was always jumpy and always had a hard time getting to sleep at night. As with any anti-depressant hold on and expect the bad dreams to come because it seems like no matter what Psychotropic drug that you are taking you will just about always have strange dreams now and then. I have had nightmare that scared me silly for the last two nights. They literally woke me up. You may feel a few side effects from it, diarrhea and nausea for a while but ride the storm out it does get better. Just because it doesn't work for me doesn't mean that it won't work for you. Everyone is different and I know of some people that have had great results with it. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them. Good Luck and God Bless you.
