What's your experience on Sertraline and Trazodone combination?

Question:
I started with insomnia then got anxiety that led to depression. I started with herbal supplements but did not work well until I turned to Zoloft which helped me in most of my anxiety and depressive moods. What I cannot achieve is how to get rid of the insomnia which has been bothering me for 4 months now and I am getting tired of taking sedaives to sleep otherwise I do not get any sleep at all.

Answers:
Been there done that. I have a vitamin therapy and food diet that helps. contact me and I will give it to you. I was only sleeping maybe two hours a night now I sleep about 6 hours of deep sleep which is better than 8 hours of restless sleep.

Trazodone was great when i was a kid, its addicting in the sense that you have to up the dose after a period of time do to your tolerance levels and once you come off its a long time sleeping on your own
Most horrible thing I ever did. I thought I was going to die with that mess. I had to take the Trazadone lying down because immediately my hands and feet began to tingle and I began to feel like I was floating. I know some would totally enjoy this feeling, but I hated it. Then, I was OUT cold. I never remember even moving and that scared me. I am opposite of you. It cured my insomnia completely, but I hated the feeling and the depression continued. I changed to Ambien and it worked much better. You might want to give it a try. Good luck and hopefully GOOD NIGHT!
If your on Zoloft during the day at night time try 5mg. of Melatonin you get in the drug store in the vitamin section..it does work.
CBT cognitive behaviour therapy - has had great success with insomnia and of course it is non medication
