Feeling of stress, anxiety, scared?

Question:
So for more than a year now i've been feeling stressed, sad, scared of doing errands on my own even though it's routine pretty much. Usually it happens a week or two out of every month and now it feels like i've been having it for a while, nonstop, sometimes i do feel normal though. There's times where i have to check, recheck, and check again, like at work for example if i've locked my locker or when i'm leaving home, check several times if i've locked my doors. Or when i'm taking the train, always asking myself if i'm taking the right train even though i've taken the same one millions of times. I just haven't been feeling like myself, not saying like another person, more like my body is there but mentally i'm not. I need help!

Answers:
You are suffering from a classic case of OCD obsessive compulsive disorder, ...the checking,...seeing if you locked the doors, my sister does the same thing...going the same routes...unsure if you took the right train, etc. You definetly have OCD...you should go to a really nice phsyciatrist who could presribe you something like Luvox, which my son, who also has OCD is taking...it has been a miracle drug for him...Good luck and say your prayers too!

I think you need a break. You have just become a robot kind of. You are not sure what you are doing, i.e. you are self-conscious when you perform a job / do something. Your heart and brain are not aligned properly. You need a serious check from your mechanic (i.e. a family doctor ).
i feel lost sometimes myself and i try to do things right and they come out wrong because im scared to mess up i do understand you i had my baby in 2004 and after that i just wanted to stay home i felt scared to go out i had real bad anxiety
What happened a year ago? It sounds like you are dealing with some serious anxiety and depression, they go hand in hand. It also sounds like something happened to you to really rattle you and you either haven't faced it or are suppressing it. This suppression of your issues will manifest themselves physically and emotionally. I suggest going to see a psychiatrist and getting on some sort of GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) medication to get your symptoms under control so you are able to deal with what is really causing them. It's a long road, but you are doing the right thing by recognizing that something is not right, that it affecting your daily life and reaching out to get a second opinion. I wish you the best.
Yes, you sound like you do need help...You should probably see a doctor...there are things that they can do or prescribe for you to help...you DO NOT have to feel like this...reach out...help is there for the asking.
Girl, seems to me you're becoming somewhat obsesive-compulsive. It's an unhealthy mental condition from which it's hard to get out, so just try to be more confident about yourself. Checking and double checking stuff is a sign of lack of self confidence. In any case, breathe deeply, relax, and at first just check once (BUT ONLY ONCE) if you did things right. After you got used to do it only once, then f**k it and don't even check. Good luck.
did you have something traumatic happen to you a year ago? it sounds like you anxiety mixed with alot of anxiety. do you have someone you can talk too like a minister/priest or a doctor even your school counselor could direct you to a good resource. exercise will help relax you. but it sounds like you need to talk whatever it is thats causing this. try to talk to someone that i mentioned above that just may do the trick.
In the hustle and bustle world most people live in, it's very easy to get these types of feelings. Stress leads to anxiety and if you are scared..you need to ask yourself what it is that is making you scared. I know in the past year I have broken up with two men and lost my father to MS and I haven't had a job in a long time. I feel the presures of not having any work (and I'm looking), and deeling with being alone. You just need to understand that you are not alone. There are others out here with the same feeling as you.
Stop for a second, really analyze yourself. Sometimes just getting out and exercising, trying something new everyday, changing your morning ruitine, praying to the Lord...anything. But if you feel that you need help luv...by all means, there is no shame in seeking help. A friend you trust, a family member, a teacher, even a councelor can help. Just do it. When you do, come back and tell us how you are.

i would do a google on anxiety and o.c.d.......may give you some insight- but the checking and rechecking are classic ocd symptoms
