I sometimes think that our individual existance is just a pure chance?

Question:
does anyone share an opinion about this?

Answers:
Considering all the circumstances that led to our existance - sure!

Going back to the beginning of the universe - all the right atoms had to be in all the right spots to create the universe as it is now.

Going back to our individual creation - one little sperm out of hundreds of sperms had to penetrate an egg that happened to be in the right spot at the right time.

Going back generations - lots of little sperms had to penetrate lots of little eggs that just happened to be in the right spot at the right time.

Looking at our environment - all of our experiences had to occur just as they did to create the personality and life that we have as we know it.

Lots of coincidences had to come together to create our individual selves as we are.

This could be used as an argument for both atheism and monotheism - either a divine being made all these things happen to make or existence possible or there is no God and its all just chance anyway.

It's an interesting philosophical debate. I prefer thinking that a divine being made all these things happen to make my existance possible because of my human need to believe that there is something greater than me out there - but I enjoy the intellectual side of both arguments for pure debate's sake.
