I am always worried about someone putting drugs in my food or drink//?I over obsess about it--Whats wrong?

Question:
I take my drink everywhere even when im home--Wash out glasses that are clean..I will never leave my drink at a table even with my best friends sitting there--I dont trust anyone--I feel like my drink or food will get spiked with acid or whatever? I worry about it so much that it sometimes makes me have anxiety attacks If i accidently sip on something i have left sit unattended.
I think part of the reason is i dont trust anyone and i have seen people i know have there drink spiked,,, But i take it overboard.
Unless i phsyically see someone making my drink at a bar or restaurant i wint drink it and i flip out if i see something floating in it. I feel like people will do this to me beacuase they would think its funny to watch me flip out..
Also a long time ago my dad was doing exctasy alot and i dont do drugs and have had anxiety about them for a long time,,,Well he said he was going to put some in my drink someday because psychologists use it for therapy and it would help me.

Answers:
wow, I am really not sure.

It could be just simple obsessive compulsive disorder. You know how you hear of some people obsessing about germs, washing their hands every five minutes, only you are obsessing about being drugged instead.

Or, it could be something deeper. Paranoia can be a symptom of other things. A real professional might be able to help you better. I am sure they will have a few questions to ask you to get a better idea of what other things are going on in your mind.

Maybe you should find a good counselor and just get an eval done. You never know, it might help you sort it out. Can't hurt anyway.

i am no psychyatrist but you have all the symptoms of a psycho.
your head needs examination
First of all, no ecstasy is used in psychology to evaluate any kind of experiment. Second, you are so worried to contact any drugs that you are experiencing an obsessive compulsive disorder. It does not mean that you have that disorder only if I say so. You must see a psychologist and they will evaluate your problem. I would recommend that you try to sort this problem out with a professional help. If that is not available, you must deal with your obsession and try to tame it down by reasuring yourself that there are people who are honest with you and they will not hurt you in anyway. Now, whether it is your friends or your parents it does not matter, but at least you must trust someone. I personally have never done any drugs and I don't intend to but I heard that even if you do it once you will not get addicted to it the first time.
