has anyone overcome anxiety disorder with antideppresants?

I have developed an anxiety disorder over the last year and have tried 3 antidepressants and all of them made me MORE anxious to the point of mania - it was awful. I tried Zoloft (most severe anxiousness) then Remeron (zombie effect plus anxiety because of that) and the Wellbutrin. The Welbutrin XL at the lower dosage, 150MG, didn't cause any anxiety but then you are supposed to up the dosage to 300MG the next week and when that happend up came the anxiety again, just like with the Zoloft.
I still hold out some hope that some antidepressant will help with anxiety but for now, the ONLY thing that helps is XANAX, which can be addictive if you abuse it.

antidepressants do help, there are a variety of different kinds,
check with a good doctor.
