what's wrong with me? Paranoia?
Question:
For example....
On a normal day (rarely) I will be making soup in the kitchen....no problem.
On these other days....I will be making soup in the kitchen then suddenly I will imagine the stove blowing up. Then I usually abondon warming my soup in fear that my vision will come true.
It happens so much that it sometimes ruins my everyday activities. Is this normal or just paranoia?
Answers:
Has something happened in your life that was really bad...it sounds like maybe something has made you feel like you should always look over your shoulder. If this continues I would try to talk to someone about it ...If you have a local church maybe they have some free services you could take advantage of. If it happens several times a week and is interfering in your everyday life. I would seek out some help. Good luck..., just remember things that we fear rarely come true. We all have fears...don't let it take you over. You take charge of the things you fear.

i think its normal to be percautious.. but yes you are a little paranoid.. have you seen The Series of Unfortunate Events movie? it seems pretty unlikely that something like that will happen... so dont worry so much!
I'm not sure if it's "normal" but I'm the same way. So if we're abnormal, then we are together.
It is definitely not normal on a daily basis. Try talking to someone about it that can help you. Go to the library or Internet for information on paranoia. Do you only have those thoughts when you are making soup?
That is definitely not normal anymore. I suggest you ask for a professional help already, otherwise it might get worse. You are beginning to think that what ever comes in your mind becomes reality. Somewhere in time something happened to you that triggered this happenings. Don't be afraid to ask for help, ok? Unless you know the root cause of this, it will never stop and may become worse.
You are experiencing "Divisional Point Errors"
There are an infinite number of possibilities around you, "alternate universes", if that terminology helps. You are simply accessing one of the more extreme versions of reality -- even though you are not living it -- and eventually, the awarenes that it's just an alternate reality will ease your mind. Some say visions of violence, horror, or even silliness come through with more clarity since they're SO different from the current situation -- making soup, for example. Some might just say you are craving drama -- but the kind of drama where your stove explodes?-- probably not! lol
Yoga and quiet meditations can assist your desire to focus your intent on THIS reality, the one that you are currently IN.
Eventually you will also realize that your INTENT can CREATE the results you DESIRE, and that's when it gets even more fun...
Best to You...
what type of tv shows or movies have u been watching? i have that same problem. i think the worse. but i watch alot of scary movies and movies where people get killed. try changing what u watch. go c a dr if it still occurs
As with any fear, you will have to conquer it. Face it no matter how you feel. **** happens, but can not be attributed to paranoia delusions. It is quite normal, but you must face these things and eventually after time you will gain the upper hand. For me, I got to a point where I used to tell myself " ok, if I die, I die" nothing I can do about it when just living a normal life. We should not live in fear. Fear rejecting Christ is the only fear I see as legit.
