Medications and Schitzophrenia (spelling?).?

Question:
What medications are used in the treatment of schitzophrenia (spelling?) ?

Answers:
My daughter takes 100 mg of Seroquel and 25 mg of Hydroxyzine. She's been on this regimen for about a month and I'm not seeing much in the way of results yet..sometimes it takes 2-3 months to see any affect.

She has also been on Risperdal, Zyprexz, Celexa, Abilify..others I don't even remember.

Best thing is to work closely with a psychiatrist; be honest about effects, side-effects, etc. It helps to keep a journal, cause it's hard to remember how you were feeling three weeks ago when you're in the doctor's office.

Also, be sure to ask about side effects. Many of these drugs cause very, very serious side effects. and make sure to keep an eye on blood levels to catch any problems that arise.

May God bless you. My best wishes on your journey.
