If we are all dying, why isnt everyone scared?

Answers:
Most people life healthy, happy lives dealing with what comes alone as it comes…facing the challenges and feeling gratified when they are transcended. We can’t live fully, authentically, it has been said, until we also acknowledge our mortality, that is, not blindly living in denial. However, to focus exclusively on death and dying is itself a slow death, because we are denying ourselves the opportunities to participate fully in life and truly live in the here and now. There is a straight forward brief therapy for this malady of worrying: in fact it’s summed up in just two words: if you are plagued by worries about death and dying: “Stop it”. But the challenge is to catch yourself doing “it”. This is the hard part because the worries become imbedded in the subconscious, that is, we are into the habitual patterns of worry without even being cognizant of it. So it is necessary to begin to practice the observance of your thoughts…and when you catch yourself falling into the old habitual patterns, stop it, by changing the channel: think of some thing very positive, joyful. Rest by being just purely present in a moment, without thinking without labeling your experience, just focus on your breathing and give your mind a vacation.
