What is this? Everytime a part of my body gets wet, I HAVE to wet the other parts of my body that aren't wet.
Question:
What is wrong with me?!?!?!?
Answers:
As others have mentioned, this is what is called a compulsion.
"Intrusive thoughts" that, while even the person themselves frequently realize to be irrational, at the same time produce such an intense sense of anxiety that only by following through on them, no matter how silly they may seem, will provide relief, and a sense of safety.
Such a condition is...not all that uncommon.
If you decide to see someone, and try and get to what's behind it all, it would be best to make sure that you see someone who has proir training in treating such conditions. Don't be afraid to ask them about their training, or if they know of someone who **does** have such experience.
Good luck with this. No need to be robbed of so much time and emotional energy when there might be some useful insights gained from seeing if it can get treated.

Go see a psychiatrist who specializes in OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).

Sounds like OCD. Talk to you Dr for help.
Sounds like OCD.
It definently sounds like you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Believe it or not it is fairly common. You need to talk to your Dr and tell them what you've written here. There is nothing to be ashamed of but if you don't get control of it now it will take over every minute of your life. My mother-in-law had it and was evicted b-cuz she was an OCD pack-rat. All she needed was a medication to control the thoughts.
