Zoloft withdrawl after one month of taking?
Question:
Answers:
Depends how much Zoloft U R taking? Zoloft is an "SSRI"--
basically a mood elevator. You should NOT be on more than
200 Mg per day..and if you decide to "get off it"---the recommended "down scale" is to reduce by 50 Mg every three days--DONT STOP COLD TURKEY--could cause problems.
If U R on a low dose like 50 Mg--then drop 25 Mg every three days--thats the 'safe exit'.....What you are experiencing IS
"quick withdrawal" symptoms....U should have started it gradually
and you should come off the same way.

zoloft didnt do crap for me...but it could b doing that to you. if it dont stop..see ur dr
Yep. You should never stop taking this kind of thing without the doctor telling you to and you should never just stop taking it. You need to ween yourself off of antidepressants. You are lucky the symptoms aren't more serious. Even when you taper the drug, you can still have withdrawal symptoms but not as bad. Tell your doctor what you've done and ask what he wants you to do now.
i've been on zoloft for almost a year now i try to stop or there are times when i forget to take it for a couple of days when that happens i get very moody, shakey, and i can't relax. i'm not really sure how long it will last because i still take my meds
Boy did the withdrawl kill me...it's been so many years and I still remember it...it lasted abt 2 wks. Dizziness, nausea, headaches, bla, bla, bla...u are probably abt 1/2way through it.
It isn't in ur head. Prozac didn't do it to me. Some meds do it worse than others. I feel for ya...hang in there. Try to taper very, very gradually next time. But even that won't totally stop the withdrawl.
you shouldn't stop taking medications unless your Dr tells you too. Part of why your feeling that way is lower serotonin levels. Zoloft helps your brain produce more serotonin(the happy chemical) so your probably feeling a little down. If your not comfortable taking the medication talk to your Dr about trying an herbal supplement like st john's wart instead.
when I quit taking zoloft I felt like every time I turned my head I got a weird tingly feeling in my head or if I blinked hard I would get it too, I know sounds weird that only lasted for a week after i stoped, so you should almost be done. I felt a little down too during that period but I think it was from the anxiety from all the withdraw symptoms
I have the same problem everytime I skip a few doses.. and I am also on 100mg.
My advice: You need to start taking it again.. and gradually ease off it... 100mg...then 50mg...then 25mg... or every second day or something... otherwise these symptoms could persist indefinitely and you may do yourself damage internally.
BUT FIRST - See your doctor.. I know those symptoms suck.. they are horrible, and i'd hate to think what we do to our bodies when we experience them..
Good luck! :)
