how do i find a specialist in aspbergers syndrome in merseyside, have been looking for 10 years!?

Have been looking for 1 for 10 years with no joy and my GP told me to try the internet! Have a 18 year old son who needs help from somewhere as we are both getting desperate, I would be so glad if somebody out there could please help us!

Check out your local University, psychologist, schools, and sometimes social services knows some people.
There seems to be a general lack of such people - there appears to be no support for this where I live (Highlands) either.
