I have no friends at all?

Question:

I'm rather self-centered so it's hard for me to make friends. I'm attending a college that has over 30,000 students so you'd think making friends shouldn't be an issue. But I haven't befriended anyone in my two years here. Yes, I do meet familiar faces from classes and exchange hi's often, but that's enough it.

What should I do? How do I make friends in college? How should I go about doing so? Please help me. I'm frequently depressed due to loneliness.

Find some drinking buddies and get wasted

I think you should learn to play a musical instrument like the drums or guitar and place an ad in the school paper that says: "Guitarist seeking drummer and vocalist" That way you start a band and you'll be patched in to a network of friends. If my advice doesn't pan out I will gladly refund all the money you paid for this advice. Good Luck!
