Why do people cut their wrists as an outlet and say it feels good? How can that physically feel GOOD?

Question:

Answers:
it doesn't feel good, not the way you are thinking. when something happens to a person that makes them hurt a whole lot inside and they don't know really how to deal with it, the pain just stays inside, eating them away. (it's called internalizing the pain) when that person hurts themselves physically (like cutting their wrists) it is a way of getting that internal pain out, a way of dealing with it. it's a coping technique, granted an unhealthy coping technique. it's called externalizing.
I think it makes them light headed.
