Someone just did something really, really nice for me. How should I respond?

Do something in return like send HER on a day to a spa or send HIM a gift certificate for a nice car wash or restaurant. Or at least say THANK YOU with a hug!
by saying thankyou and maybe offer to make them a meal.
Write a heartfelt letter explaining how you feel and how encouraged you are.
Send them a short thank you note telling them just how happy you are by what they did. It will make them feel just as good as you do now!

make sure they know you really appreciate what they have done for you and somewhere down the road do something nice for someone else

The folks who did something nice for you aren't looking for anything in return. Send them an appreciative thank you card anyway.
