night sweats?

Question:
anyone take zoloft and have night sweats?is there anything that can be done?

Answers:
Try not taking it at night. I take it early in the morning and that helped a lot with side effects. I also take Ambien for sleep.

I had night sweats the first few days. didn't help that we're in the middle of a heat wave. Other than taking a cool shower before going to bed, and maybe trying a sleeping med, you just need to tough it out. It IS a normal side effect, though I found it's temporary.

Other Answers:
People have night sweats not on Zoloft. Have you ruled out other reasons before deciding its your meds.

If you are just starting the drug, and sweating is one of the side effects, it may go away in time. If you are within the para menopause to post menopause, that could be the cause of your night sweats. Try going to www.mayoclinic.com and read what they say about the drug, and the menopause condition. Might Help. But in till then, try running a fan in your bedroom, and keep a damp/wet cloth next to your bed to cool yourself. Good Luck generally in time your body will adjust to medication side effects and they will diminish or disappear. are you sure the night sweats are a side effect of Zoloft? did they begin a few days to a couple of weeks after starting the drug? night sweats can be a symptom of other things. one comes to mind but i won't tell you. talk to you dr. or do a search on zoloft side effects.
