Yes that could get very annoying but alot of people do it. You just have to learn to ignore it
my husband the same way...good thing im a quiet eater...i think its a childhood thing for him...his dad is so loud when he eats
not anal or a phobia! its just gross and rude! I can't stand it either!
You're being anal...good lord, lighten up.
it is neither.... it is common courtesy and just good manners for people to chew with their mouths closed and not speak with food in their mouth
Everyone has a phobia of sorts and hey i can respect that you dont like that sound.... by the way i hate SPIDERS aahhh help i wrote the word spiders aahhh again......
That is my ultimate pet peeve, too!! The absolute WORST is someone who has a cold eating a banana. It's completely disgusting. It's also gross when you hear someone with a "spitty voice", when you can here the saliva in their mouths when they are talking. Yuck.
Have you ever heard a cow chewing its cud. Yeah thats it.
I'm the same way and so is my mom.

I think it is one part of having Attention Deficit Disorder

all noises make me crazy
I really don't think it's either/or. It just sounds like a pet peeve that kinda makes everyone feel squeemish. My cousin does that and my dad USED to until mom eventually corrected him (God love him and I know I do!).
Its not being anal or a phobia. its just they way you grew up to show respect and many people do not have values or have they learned respect. I don't like people doing that also it grosses me out..
