why do i feel my body temperature increases whenever im under a lot of anxiety or depressed?

Question:
i suddenly become hot and my head starts throbbing...

Answers:
Your body temperature does not actually increase (probably). This is an anxiety reaction. You probably feel it first on the back of your neck or in your face.

A good way to reduce this temporarily is to stand up and stretch, or take a quick walk. Of course, the best way is to do something about what is making you anxious or depressed . . .

When your body temperature actually rises, you could feel either hotter or colder, one of the strange things about most humans. It depends on the type of fever you have. That is why a thermometer is the most accurate way to measure this.

The mind and body are interconnected; the action of one directly effects the other. I have the same problem but I think it's all in my head. The anxiety (mind) forces the sweat glands (body) to overreact to what it perceives as a potentially dangerous situation. It also could be your body's fight or flight mechanism, when you are under stress your body becomes ready to move quickly and the bloodflow increases. It's an embarassing thing to have happen, I've lived with it for along time. I don't have a concrete answer for you, but just know that you are not alone in your suffering. You have my empathy.
