How can I overcome my anger issues?

Question:
I am such an angry person and I don't know why. I try not to be, but it's second nature to me. Nothing major has happened in my life to cause this problem. I was a shy person through my childhood & teenage years though.

Answers:
There is an excellent book "When Anger Hurts" that has many practical ways to learn to understand and control your anger. Give it a look.

Anger many times is a cover for other emotions, especially fear and shame. Anger makes us feel strong and capable at the time, but the aftermath can be pretty horrible.

Good luck, and i hope you find a way to get it in check

Other Answers:
lots and lots of exercise.

Kickboxing. you should have been angry during your teenage years. "Anger" is part of our path to maturity, more common at that age. Suppressed feelings pop up sooner or later. On the other hand, try to Analise what`s going on in your life right now. The answer to your question may be there. In any case, plenty of exercise, as suggested above, helps a lot.

maybe you aren't having enough time in your life to just relax and have fun..if not, you need to find time,,,that's what makes the world go round.

If you are anything like me the anger stems from a depression because of humanity. People in general just let us down. We don't necessarily want to believe we are better than most but it seems that way. Almost everyon's selfish actions piss me right the hell off. I don't want to be bitter but the world just urks me.
