When I read your question, I thought of Delusions of Grandeur. Many people with the diagnosis of Schizophrenia have delusional thinking. There are many types of delusions. The National Institute of Mental Health includes a description of delusions of grandeur in its definition:
"Delusions: Delusions are false personal beliefs that are not part of the person's culture and do not change, even when other people present proof that the beliefs are not true or logical. People with schizophrenia can have delusions that are quite bizarre, such as believing that neighbors can control their behavior with magnetic waves, people on television are directing special messages to them, or radio stations are broadcasting their thoughts aloud to others. They may also have delusions of grandeur and think they are famous historical figures. People with paranoid schizophrenia can believe that others are deliberately cheating, harassing, poisoning, spying upon, or plotting against them or the people they care about. These beliefs are called delusions of persecution."

In contrast to delusional thinking, that may accompany the schizophrenias, narcissism is a personality disorder (NPD). People with this disorder may have a distorted perception of themself and the world. For example, instead of thinking of themself as a higher power or magical being, they would think in terms of greatly exaggerating their strength, intelligence, their status in the world, etc.

Actually, yes I have. I've thought both, I think I do have some other magical powers and that I have a mental disorder. Sometimes I try to ignore it but it still comes back. I'm nuts.
Many people have no hint of the capabilities of the mind.. Those who do find themselves able to do many things, which others would find a bit out of this world. But that higher power is held within the mind of each one.. the ability to acknowledge this ability and then apply it, is what makes the difference.
people with mental problems are deffinately superior to others in other domains. i know a hyperactive little boy that despite his 3 years, colors magnificently, makes amazing shapes with dough, is extreamly affective (once you get to konw him), besids, these kids are given an exeptional charm to help them survive; this kid has an amazing smile and a beautifull voice! people just have to take in account all this before judging them...
