Everytime i get injured i become so obsessed and scared about it, normal?
Question:
Answers:
I have been a mental health nurse for 8 years. Sounds like you may have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder where you obsess over injuries. You'll need to get cognitive behavioral therapy or be prescribed an antidepressant so you don't keep obsessing over things like this.

You give a lot of information and although I'm a psychotherapist I can't say you have a mental disorder but I recommend you see a psychologist or a psychiatrist because your concern could become an obsession or a phobia and that could be harder to treat. I think you could feel better by seeing a professional, and you can prevent future problems. Maybe by just talking about your problem you'd feel better, specially if you talk about the accident you had when you were 6.
Good luck!
Maybe you have an anxiety about injuries, particularly given that you have been through a very severe incident at the age of 6. Perhaps you have even got a form of post traumatic stress disorder.
I think you should talk this over with a health professional. See your usual doctor and talk it over with them. They may well refer you to someone with more expertise in this area.
Everyone gets minor bumps and bruises. Most people get on with life. It is obviously affecting you and how you are intereacting with your world. Get some help.
A little concern about injuries is normal But this constant state of panic you describe is not. Talk to a therapist.
Good luck!
