What are some best practices to deal with procrastination.

Question:
Specifically, if you've become so used to being hectic, how do you manage things when you suddenly have only 1 or 2 things to manage and you do not feel as strong an urge to work on those? Any best practices?

Answers:
Well, I being the queen of procrastination, know that if I set up mini goals for myself I am more likely to accomplish a task I don't want to do. For example, if it's something like reading.I say to myself- "Ok read for 1 hour, then put it away, for 20 minutes of so and then read for another hour." This way I get some work done for sure and still get to dillydally and waste time.

just do it

I too am very accustomed to procrastination. I have written 20 page papers for my engineering classes in one night (all nighter of course). But now I don't know how to live my life without at least a certain level of stress. So I procrastinate on purpose just so I can get the adrenaline rush. By the way I graduated college with a 3.6 GPA so procrastination isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some people, like myself, work better under pressure. Breath in and out. Make a list of things in a logical order that you have to do. Just do them in order and put a check mark when you finish each one. You will see how fast it will go by.

just say to yourself."hey,im gonna do it,and u cant stop me"

sounds kinda wierd but i do it too..lol

Don't do today what you can do tomorrow. You learn to to less, if you wish to truly enter the realm of Extreme Procrastination
