Where do ER nurses and OR nurses get their arrogance and exaggerated sense of entitlement ?

They "know" thier jobs, are good at it and I am pleased to say, that I respect them very much for the effort that they give, every day, to save lives.

If they are arrogant, or want exessive entitlements, the I would give it to them, thier just dues.

Since I am a heart patient, I am in thier debt, many times over.

Maybe you just ran into some bad ones.

I think a small minority may be arrogant.
Maybe they saved someone's life, and feel powerful.

Nurses have to do a lot of work at school and many of them are very pretentious about it. Lots of nurses just went into nursing because they weren't smart enough to be doctors or didn't want to bother doing that much school.

Not to say all nurses are like that, but many of them are.
