What are the best ways to unwind after a long stressful week?

We have a fire pit out back. We make a fire and just hang out there. It's a nice change. Make a cooler of drinks and invite a friend or two over and just hang out. It's cheap, relaxing and always ends up to be enjoyable.

My hubby and I sometimes sit by the fire by ourselves. We'll talk about the stressful week, plans we might have or whatever. It's better than vegging out in front of the TV. We feel nice and relaxed when we come back inside.


Sometimes I like to get up early on a Saturday morning and go for a hike with my husband in the mountains, other times I'll unwind by fixing a tall glass of lemonade and reading a good book. I work in an extremely high stress environment and make decisions that are often a matter of life or death for others. I unwind by doing high speed driving in a Dune Buggy. High speed boating.or Precision shooting. Any activity that I must focus all my physical and mental energy on is relaxing for me and I feel refreshed and ready for a new set of challenges.
Setting around a fire with some boring neighbors would make me want to go back to work.


Swimming.. or just be in a pool :-) its always relaxing. Floating on water when you're not even putting effort into it, That's what I call Relaxing. stand up and spin around in a circle until u fall down
