They believe that the body they inhabit is WRONG. If you're in a woman's body but feel that you are really a man, or vice versa, then sex reassignment surgery is the only way to not go insane bit by bit. It happens to only a small percentage of people worldwide. However, such dramatic changes usually make for sensational news because it's so different. But, for the individual, it makes him or her see on the outside what his/her mind tells them they are on the inside. In other words, they become a whole person. That's the way the majority of us see ourselves.

Probably most of them because they are happy the way they are. Also I'm sure some ppl don't want to do it b/c of the invasive surgeries and drugs. that first will because the want to like the oppsite sex in their mind they think that if they had a sex change they would have a better life and some is the want the attanetion of the some sex they want to be wanted or that what my friend said thats why he got a sex change
