St. John's Wort?

Question:
Do you use St. John's Wort, why, how did you feel and how long does it take to start working?

Answers:
Yes I do, it is a natural mood booster, and can help keep you calmer under stress. I work in stressful situations. It took about a week to ten days to start noticing a difference in my degree of calmness. I personally have good luck with using natural herbs and alternative medicines. Some people do not find success with it, and others do. Hope this helps, have a good night!!

Other Answers:
It never worked for me. They say it has zero affect on you.
This is a product you can get otc.........I think you should talk to your doctor and see what they suggest. There are a lot of meds available to help depression. You may not need anything. It could be due to sleep patterns or diet.
It's taken as a mood enhancer...I actually took it after I had a baby, to help with postpartum depression, well, to prevent it from happening. It's supposed to take a while, like a month or two, before you start seeing maximum benefits. You should take it with food, and don't get too much sun with it. Umm, I don't think you should worry about it, BUT...pregnant or lactating women shouldn't take it...(I wasn't breatfeeding anymore). It's supposed to help you have a more positive mood.
I used it for a while, can't say it made me feel any different
I've used it in the past, I probably should go back, because I feel it's a good alternative to Zoloft or Paxil, it's milder and far less expensive. It might make you sun sensitive, so be careful about getting too much sun while taking it. It depends on your own metabolism how long it might take for you to start really noticing a difference, I felt a difference within a week, but some people could take up to six weeks, so don't get discouraged.
