Get involved with helping others. Your problems aren't so big compared to others. Almost anywhere you go there is someone worse off than you that could use some help, some advice or some friendship.
A good conscience is the best pillow. :)
Don't spend too much of your time pointing out your faults or others.
Don't take things too serious.. it's just life. In the end you will be alright, and so will everyone else.

I can control my sleep by dreaming of flying. It helps me to get to sleep every time.
Well, there are a number of issues at hand here. The first one is that you really should go speak with a physchologist. You have a few issues that you need to talk about to help you get your priorities straight and your confidence back up. No doubt, doing this will help you sleep better at night. However, therapy takes time to work its way and heal the mind, so in the meantime, the you might have a doctor prescribe a sleeping aid such as Ambien which actually 'shuts the brain down' at night and helps you get a deep restful sleep. However, sleeping aids like Ambien can be addictive if used for long periods of time, so you should follow the doctor's directions closey and only take them as needed for short periods.
Above all, go to therapy, it will help you.
Start by talking it out with someone you trust and have a good relationship with. You may then want to explore more professional help. First and foremost talk to your doc. He will probably give ya some help, but here's what i do I'm a total insomniac so when my mind goes in to over load and i cant sleep i try a little meditation clear my mind and just let my body relax. i do that for 15 or 20 minutes then if that don't help i try the meds the doc prescribed to help me sleep but i much prefer the meditation .
apparently your thinking of something thats keeping you awake try thinking of something that is relaxing something that makes you feel at ease
i think these days this is not so much of an unique problem.
I am also like that, mind keeps going and going.never
realyget a good night sleep(mind busy, body tired)
Did you ever saw a doctor about this?
And if someone on this site have the answer, i will also
be thankfull, The mind is such a powerfull thing.
read a good book before going to bed, throughout the day keep urself busy doing things u r interested in, work work work keep doing anything by night u will automatically fall asleep Keep thinking. Use a journal to record your thoughts. If you are thinking you are figuring out things in your life and most likely while you sleep you are continuing the process and naturally coming to a conclusion. Think on what one thing in life would make you happy? Is it possible to make a career out of that? Look outside the box for the answer..you are only 21 the average age to actually find direction in this life is said to be around age 42. You will make it just keep thinking.
I have same problem been covering up wit alcahol and drugs but not completly working just the sleeping part out like light now . im a nice bit older with no direction . so start now if your going to or move in with me and be lost forever . things will come around . try also not putting things of thta will help get so of the nightly thinking down a bit if you dont have so much on mind not so much to think about .
Melatonin is the all-natural nightcap. It's secreted by the pineal gland, a pea-size structure at the center of the brain, as our eyes register the fall of darkness. At night melatonin is produced to help our bodies regulate our sleep-wake cycles. You can get this in a pill or capsule form in any health food store and works like a charm. Non-habit forming, no adverse effects.
As far as having no direction - sometimes your journey through life will seem endless and out of reach. Even though you can not feel or see the final destination or decide which turn to take at times, take a moment and look at the things that are within your grasp at this moment and see the beauty of all your blessings. Just remember, you may not know the right answer or direction at times, but every time you are wrong, there will be a lot of folks that are most happy to correct you. If your direction is a good one, no one will say anything.
You should make an appointment with a psychiatrist and tell him/her what symptoms you are having. They would be the ones best able to help. There are many medications that could help you, but only a doctor would know what's good for you.
