it is human nature. We as humans are 1)never satisfied with what we have and 2)always looking to put the blame on others. So, even if we are happy hearing a lie, we are not satisfied and we want the truth. And then, when we are not happy, we blame the messenger for destroying our happiness. repeat and repeat.

Sadly as humans we are at the whim of our egos and primal urges (though we insist we are more evolved than that). As such it is the ego which delivers 'truth' but only responds to that which is directly related to our person. By which I mean, there is a much larger, more fundamental truth by which we may choose to live but it is not an easy option. As such, the majority of us remain less evolved than we may otherwise be. We search for answers within ourselves and outside of ourselves, yet we rarely acknowledge that the two are so infinately bound that we may recognise truth. So long as we see ourselves as independant rather than inter-related, we will forgo real truth and none of us can be honnest. Whilst our egos drive us, we will continue to shoot the messenger and ourselves in the foot! The truth is not awful, it is just so much bigger than our tiny selves that we can barely comprehend it.
p.s. I'm an agnostic before you get on your high horse!
i prefer to know the truth and be hurt that way,, then find out i was lied to no-matter how much it would it hurt at least that person as being honest ,, there's too many lies that get told and hurt people,, knowing the truth is always best for me anyways,,, i understand that certin situation it;s hard to deal with the truth but the world could be better place if the truth was told in the first place ,,,what would hurt me more is the fact that i knew somebody was lieing to me , then found out the truth from sum1 else ,,, just remeber ,, that life is too short for all the arguing and lie's might aswell know the truth deal with the problem and get on with life best we can :),, life is suppose to be our adventure not to be sad or being lied to we gotta learn no- matter how one feels about knowing the truth it;s better then lieng.. my best advice is if sum1 doesnt wanna know the truth don't metion anything unless it is needed to be said : that why ure not letting the person know you know something if know what i mean: tgcx
