Do I have a problem?

Question:
I have a pretty awesome life, most of the time. I live in an average size house and live a middle class life. I have great friends too. For some reason though i completly melt down at night. Not always every night but a good amount. Sometimes i dont even know why i cry my eyes out for hours and hours. Whats wrong??

Answers:
You clearly have depression. The reason is not always obvious. Go to your doctor and get on medication first, then explore your feelings and try to determine the reason. If there even is one, which there may not be. You could just be short on serotonin.

Other Answers:
You could be depressed -- irrational sadness is definitely a symptom. This could also be caused by stress that you're under that you aren't really AWARE that you're under. Either way, you should talk to a counselor or doctor.
You're just emotional more than most. But if it continues, seek help.

get help.lots of people get depressed, you are not alone
You could be depressed or suffering from anxiety. You SEE that everything is great and recognize that but is it possible that you're just overwhelmed with the responsibilities of day to day life and at the end of a long day the crying is your outlet?
Are you depressed for some reason? Or maybe you are just too alone and need someone to keep company with.
ask a professional you might be supressing something
Depression and hormones. You let the stress of the day build up until it just explodes out at night. Start pacing yourself. Take breaks alone during the day. Plan something in advance to focus on when you are alone so it isn't such a big switch from busy to nothingness.
you're depressed. maybe the life ur livin could not the life that u really want to be living and so its ur minds way of telling you that.
Breaking down isn't normal. You should consult a doctor and see if perhaps there is a diagnosis for what may be causing you to break down. Maybe there is a chemical imbalance. perhaps it's psychological and sub-conscious, so consulting a therapist might also be wise, assuming that the doctor assumes that it's a neurological disorder.
you obviously have a problem, but I doubt this is the place to find out what it is unless you give extensive details about whats going on in your life, which is probably not a good idea to do here either.
Meg is right.

I bet it happens to her too!
Hormones. My sister had a similar problem and her doctor put her on BCP, even though she was inactive and would remain so for many years. Apparently they helped even out her hormonal levels so that she wasn't having as many mood swings and fits of emotional trauma.

Definitely talk to a doctor about this. Best of luck.
u seem to be missing something. even tho u have everything u might still be missing something in life. try talking to someone about it.

depends on your age. if you are 12-14, it could be hormones starting up. If you are younger, it might be your body dealing with over-stimulation of the day. If your older, then you could be facing depression. Either way, find a human to talk to, not online..
You're just like me, except I don't cry. The time you're sad is when I'm angry. It's just depression. I suggest merely thinking about the good things that you have. Works well enough for me. If you're still down e-mail me and I'll see what else I can do.

You sound depressed. If you don't have something that you know could be causing it, it could be hormonal.
