I find a 12 step program helpful for all my addictions.
Hopefully you are on medication for this disorder. My heart goes out to you, it must be very difficult. Try distracting yourself by substituting another activity, exercising, watching tv, something, Just get away from the temptation. Goo dluck
Do something else when you want to binge; go for a walk, drink water, do work around the house. Anything to distract you from eating.
Don't buy all the junk food, only keep healthy food in your fridge. Hand your car keys over to a trusted friend when you feel the urge to drive to MC Donalds for a Big Mac.
My method is to chew gum and drink water. Make sure you manage your meals to be reasonable. After each meal, start chewing a piece of gum (long lasting flavor kind) so you won't be as tempted to snack. To control hunger, drink lots of water. Often when you feel hungry, you're just thirsty.

Best of luck to you!
go for a walk or a bike ride.leave your money at home so u cant buy anything.
To avoid saving calories and $$ I dont buy junk, I have a stash of fruits, and veggies, cereal bars, good stuff so when I feel the need to eat, A lot, I eat a lot of something good. I like peanut butter with celery, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, home made smoothies,. Also for dessert I get berries and a dessert cup, (low in calories and fat), top with low fat whip cream and enjoy. Try to wait it out too, cravings last for 15 minutes, do something to occupy urself, another trick drink water.
I'm not sure why you are experiencing the compulsion to binge with bi-polar affective disorder. Surely that would be an eating disorder or OCD of some kind?
The behavioural element of binging is relevent as well as the psychological. Maybe try some CBT techniques, like writing yourself a list of what you can allow yourself to eat each day and making sure you only have healthy food in the house (for example). Or you could try excercising.
The binging is within your control, like any addict: you control IT, it doesn't control YOU.
When I want to binge I know its one of the following:
Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired
Stressed

Each of those things can be beat a different way. H- Eat a little of what your craving plus some protein and stabilize your hunger. A- Write down what you feel, rant, chant, whatever gets the anger out. L- Call a friend or better yest a bridemaid you can dish over the wedding to kill the lonelies T- A 20 minute catnap or some meditition can drive you to the next part of the day S- The best medication for stress is excercise, gets everything flowing.
Go ahead and binge sweetheart. Your man is about to promise to love and cherish you forever, and you are trying to be something your not before you head to the alter? Dont deny yourself, and try to alter who you are. Alter the wedding dress if needs be.
Binge eating is actually the major symptom of bulimia (no, it's not the purging that characterizes it). I don't know if that's what's going on, but if you see a therapist for your b.p. disorder, you might want to bring your urge to binge up as well.
