Do you think that intoxication really brings out the truth in people?

Question:

Answers:
It does help to remove their inhibitions and relax. What you see then is a good indicator of their inner character. Most people when they're drunk are "happy drunks", but there are a few who are mean drunks. They can be nice when sober, but after a few drinks, watch out.

Other Answers:
Not necessarily.

Only if you pump them full of truth serum while they are drinking. No, alcohol just makes people THINK they can tell the truth and then when, and if, someone says something to them about what they did or said, they can blame it on the alcohol and say that they don't know what they did or said.

From experience yes. For me it removes that filter between what I think and what I say. :(

Not sure what you mean by truth. If you're referring to intoxication bringing out the real individual, then no. Drinking has a tendency sometimes to make people do what they wouldn't ordinarily do. But if you're referring to someone being more open and able to talk about their feelings, then yes. Some people are shy and have a problem sharing their thoughts with someone, but intoxication tends to loosen one's inhibitions.

It brings out the vomit in me. And thats the truth! Does that count? Sometimes I feel I have to "share" more info upon inebriation. I am glad I do not get drunk more than once a year (if even that), then everyone would know my life story!

with alcohal and hard drugs, no. with marijuana i think yes because they can get in touch with their subconcious and express what they realy feel
