Yes..I've had experiences with this. My mom (hers were triggered by the death of her father) and I both get them, and she almost always gets them in the car. She has started using a new technique and it seems to be working. She invites it in.she says, "Ok.if you are gonna have a panic attack then make it a good one! I want the tingly hands, the tight chest the dizzy feelings..the works! C'mon..what can you give me? Is that it?" So far, it seems to be working. Within minutes the feelings start to go away. I try to focus on something else other than the feelings..like a song on the radio or something. I know how scary they are but if you keep telling yourself that it is just a panic attack and you won't die from this then you might start to calm down. The symptoms can be quite frightening. Good luck!

i have anxiety attacks when I come in contact with an extreme fear or phobia. You might consider seeing a professional, and perhaps pinpointing the EXACT root of ur anxiety, and then getting treatment.
Good luck!

I've been battling anxiety attacks for about a decade now. Usually mine start to set in when I'm in a situation I can't easily leave and I feel trapped. Like an elevator (I take the stairs now), sometimes in a car (but not if I'm driving), and I had a real bad episode when I was the best man at a wedding because I "knew" I couldn't just walk off the stage in front of all those people and ruin this guys wedding. The best thing to do if you have narrowed down when they happen to you is pop a xanax or klonopin before you expect them to kick in to calm your nerves. Naturally, as the attacks get worse the heart beats alot faster so the body heats up. Kick up the air conditioner full blast and blow it right in your face. If you can wet your face first to make it feel even colder do it. It works wonders trust me. It will cool you down and calm you down. Another method is to take three slow deep breaths of air to add a lil more oxygen to the blood, a natural relaxant. Get one of those squeezy things to put in your hands to give you something to manipulate. Anxiety attacks are a real pain. My doctor told me I'll have them for the rest of my life. I don't know if that's just me or everyone who has them but good luck and stay cool!
